I've seriously cut back on my blogging lately. Mostly because it's been football season. And let's be honestly, that takes up a lot of my free time. However, I've really enjoyed my freedom from the blog.
I've decided that I will permanently cut back. I will use this as a platform to keep my friends and family updated on projects around our home, exciting events in our lives, and some good recipes I feel like sharing.
I am not looking to increase blog traffic and/or to maintain regular posts. I'll just be updating randomly. :)
I hope everyone enjoys their holidays!

Shower Doors + Rain-X
A while back, you may recall that we installed new shower doors in our
master bathroom. I am in love with the clear glass doors, but keeping
them clean is a pain! I just refuse to squeegee every day. I recently
stumbled upon the idea of spraying Rain-X on them to keep them clean.

First we made sure the doors were nice and clean before applying the Rain-X. Then we sprayed it on the doors and wiped it down with a paper towel (like you would with Windex).
And it works! I've definitely noticed the difference. Soap and hard water spots doesn't build up nearly as quickly on the doors and they stay nice and clear. We'll need to reapply every month or so, but that sure beats wiping down the shower every day.
I checked Rain-X's website and they state this is perfectly safe to apply in your shower, but you don't want to use it on plastic shower doors.
Thanks Manly HouseKeeper; you're a genius!

You Should Always Be Prepared
In case there was any doubt that we are perfect for each other...
Me: Um, do you ever think about what you would do if you were attacked and strategize?
Mike: Actually, yes.
Me: Good! So I was thinking we should keep a weapon in the bathroom.
Mike: Okay. Do you want a golf club?
Me: No, that's weird. Maybe a knife of something? I was thinking if someone attacked while I was in the bathroom, there isn't much there. I mean, I could rip the towel rod off the wall and use that. Or I was thinking I could use hairspray to spray in their eyes. If I had a lighter in there, I could make a flame thrower with it.
Mike: So you want a knife in the bathroom?
Me: Um, YEAH.
Mike: All I see is me getting 3rd degree burns or stabbed for accidentally sneaking up on you.
Me: It's a possibility. But you want me to be safe right?
Mike: Fine, you can have a knife in the bathroom.
